Overalls and More

Hello to anyone who might happen to be reading this! I'm having a kind of boring day at home today, and so I decided to blog! Woohoo!

So I guess I'm going to be writing mainly about overalls, but I'll probably add some random things in at the end.

Okay. So about a month or two ago, I got really into the idea of having my own pair of overall shorts, or shortalls. Apparently they're coming back in style, but that wasn't really the reason I wanted some. I just really like the way they look and how they are so simple and easy.

I decided to order a pair from Ebay, because I wasn't sure where else I could find any at a reasonable price. They came last week and look pretty much like this.

I am wearing them right now with a light gray flannel shirt from Salvation Army with the sleeves rolled up to my elbows.

Next! MY DAD JUST GOT ME A JAR OF OLIVES AND I ALREADY ATE HALF OF THEM.

Don't judge me, I love olives so so much.

Next! I'm going to camp in approximately 91 hours! (a little less than 4 days!) I'm super excited! I am also bringing my shortalls in case you were wondering. I'm going for 3 weeks, and I will turn 13 while I am there. Happy almost birthday to me!!!

I JUST FINISHED THE OLIVES OH NO.

Next! I got my hair cut EVEN SHORTER! I love it. It's kind of spiky. I tried putting lemon juice in it to make it a little lighter (twice, actually) but it didn't work. It looks kind of like Natalie Portman's short hair here.

Can we all agree that Natalie Portman is absolutely gorgeous?

So that's all for now. Bye!

Hair

Hello. I don't expect anybody to read this, since I kind of abandoned this blog. I don't care. This is kind of like my online public abandoned diary that I can rant into.

So I got short hair around July or something. And no, I'm not one of those people who think that I can call a bob short. No. I got a pixie cut, like this short.
The front goes down to my nose, but I sweep it to the side, and the sides almost cover my ears except for my earlobes.

Before it was shoulder length and pretty boring, kind of like this.
So it's not that often that you see a 12 year old girl with a pixie cut. In my grade, which has probably around 40 girls, I can only think of 1 other girl with hair shorter than a bob, and only 1 in 8th grade. Everyone else has long straight hair, long wavy hair, shoulder length straight hair... you get the idea. The spunky, daring ones die their hair a different color every couple of months.

I guess what really annoys me is just, hair. I mean, like when you type in 'cute hairstyles' on Google images, you get a lot of pictures of long hair, and every, I don't know, 50 pictures, you come across a picture with a hairstyle that is shorter than your chin. Or when someone is all whiny like, "Ugh, I got my hair cut, and it's so short! I can't do, like, anything with it now!" when their hair is actually down below their shoulders. NO, YOUR HAIR IS NOT SHORT! BE THANKFUL YOU EVEN HAVE HAIR!

K bye.

Mother-Daughter Book Club Series

OK so there's this book series and it's totally awesome. I'm not actually sure that it is called the Mother-Daughter Book Club(series), but that's what it's about - a mother-daughter book club! It's so so good! The main character daughters are Jess, a girl who lives on a farm and is super smart, Emma, a girl who wants to be an author when she grows up, Megan, a girl who wants/is already a fashion designer, and Cassidy, a girl who plays a bunch of sports. Also there is a girl who is really mean named Becca. The main character moms are Mrs. Delaney(Jess's mom), who ran off to New York to be in a soap opera in the first book but then came back, Mrs. Hawthorne, (Emma's mom), who is a librarian and is pretty normal, Mrs. Wong,(Megan's mom), who is really embarrassing and is obsessed with a bunch of things like saving the earth and only eating all-natural things like tofu and vegan everything, and last, Mrs. Sloane(Cassidy's mom), who's first name is Clementine and was a model but then stopped and started her own cooking show. Also Becca's mom is Mrs. Chadwick, who is a librarian and is really mean and embarrassing and no one likes her. The book takes place in Concord, Massachusetts. I've read the first and second book, and am halfway through the third. I totally recommend them.

In the first one they read Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott
In the second one, they read Anne of Green Gables and the rest of the series, by Lucy Maud Montgomery
In the third one, they read Daddy Long Legs, by Jean Webster
Apparently, in the fourth book they read Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen
Apparently, in the fifth book the read the Betsy-Tacy series, by Maud Hart Lovelace

Phobias

pho·bi·a

[foh-bee-uh]
noun
a persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity, orsituation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it.

Hi, so I'm reading this book called School of Fear, and it's about these kids with phobias and they go to a summer school where this crazy woman apparently will cure their phobias. That inspired me to look up  different phobias and it is SO COOL! OK so here's my favorite phobias.

There's the...

Fear of flowers(I know, right?), which is anthrophobia,
The fear of numbers, which is arithmophobia,
The fear of snow, which is chionophobia,
The fear of colors, which is chromophobia
The fear of purple, (so sad) which is phorphyrophobia,
and last but not least, my favorite, phobophobia, which is...*drum roll please*.......... THE FEAR OF PHOBIAS!

I'm Back!

Hi people! So I'm very very sorry that I haven't posted, like, anything for the past long time... but now I'm back! So Halloween kind of  happened but it was cancelled because there was a major power outage. We didn't have power for about one and a half days because of snow. In late October! What's up with that? We got 14 INCHES. But tonight(actually I'm leaving in less than a half-hour)we will have the rescheduled Halloween trick-or-treat thing. I am going as a little old lady! I have a weird pink and white spotted button up shirt, a weird tan, white and black plaid skirt, a weird green suit/jacket, a scarf thing that I will tie around my head, and granny glasses that are pretty awesome. And... that's pretty much it! I will get back to you guys soon...
