Things I Have Been Doing Recently In London

Here are some of the highlights of my time in London so far. My mom and I went to Harrods. We didn't buy very much, but it was fun seeing things such as fancy chocolate truffles, a fish display and lots of elegant things arranged in the food hall. Another day we went to Shakespeare's Globe. We went inside the theatre and saw an exhibit that had a lot of information and models of costumes. My favorite part about the exhibit was poster that had all these quotes from Shakespeare's plays such as "in a pickle", "dead as a doornail", "for goodness' sake", or "it's Greek to me". We then walked along the South Bank of the Thames and because it was a weekend there were a lot of street performers. There were people such as silver "statues", contortionists, and people who were making sand sculptures on the riverside. A couple days before, we went to Trafalgar Square and also saw the changing of the guard. That was pretty short, but it looked pretty cool. We got there right in time, even though we hadn't planned on seeing it in the first place. Those are some of my highlights here in London so far.

  1. That sounds like a lot of fun. Walking on the South Bank is one of my favorite things to do in London. Once I was there by myself and it was a beautiful sunny day and there was a festival - it was really fun, but I missed M and E so much!! We are starting to get excited for you to come home - E wants to come meet you at the airport! Love, Aunt Becca
